L.A. has become more HK-like with numerous restaurants and tea shops targeting the younger generations. Here are pictures as taken from a few HK-style restaurants that served "HK-style" set meals (came with a drink and a soup).
From "Garden Cafe" - meal's soup (creamy veggie)

Cold milk tea with free refill (that's right, all you can drink)

Baked "creamy ham and chicken rice with cheese" See the condensed milk for the hot milk tea in the back of the picture?

Traditional "Beef Chow Fun"

From "Yau Yat Chuen" Cafe

Penag "Seafood Chow Fun and Rice Lines", a mixture of both noodles. The rice lines were lightly fried, wow!

Hai-Nan Chicken Rice

From "U2" Cafe

Baked "Fish Filet Rice with Cheese"

"Spam and Egg" macaroni with soup - my favorite

From "Maxim Cafe"

"Chicken Filet" with thick mushroom sauce and veggies

"Filet Mignon" with thick mushroom sauce and veggie

Too many to list. Here is the URL in case if you visit L.A. in the future.

You can also look up Rowland Heights in Los Angeles as well.

wow, how many meals you had?! wakakakakakkaa
u should plan a trip to be back la - wait, not during the summer - too hot :P
where can i find these foods in my area?
yes - avoid the 'heat' in HKG ... i think autumn or winter is better for a trip.
btw, i just checked my UAL mileage ... since i have not gotten the mileage from the trip added to my account yet (those were partner's flights and it would take more time to process to my account) - though i gave my travel agent the UAL MP number at the time of ticket purchase ... so anyway, the point it ...another free "North Am to Asia" econ saver RTD ticket could be redeemed soon!
oh man... should I go back to HK early next year?... Food in LA is good so I heard too from my cloud 9 friend.
