Secondhand Smoke

I am getting frustrated that my co-workers are smoking right next to the company's door entrance. Everyday when I go through that door I inhale some unknown amount of smoke, which is bothering me. I am not talking about one or two persons here, but rather six to 10 people at times!!! Research had shown that secondhand smoke was actually more harmful to our health than the firsthand smoke!!! May be I am getting older now but I do worry about my health.

Can we do something about it? Wearing a mask?

absolutely it's so annoying! man, since Jan 1st this yr HK has limited lots of area NOT to smoke - but turns out when you're on the street you feel a lot MORE smoke/smell! yuk!!!

but i am surprised when i was in budapest last wk ppl can smoke like EVERYWHERE.... inside the buildings, hotels, even inside the AIRPORT!! >.< well, maybe i shouldn't be "surprised" - as i also see dogs in the airport, and shopping malls (yes, INSIDE the shopping malls)... hahahaa

agree. i hold my breath when walking across places where ppl smoke. i used to know a person, so addicted, who needs to take a smoking break every hour (like 5 minutes) during the work day. secondhand smoke is bad for everyone and make the air so 'dirty'.

My sensory system and smell are very sensitive, and secondhand smoke sometimes makes me cough, too, so it's not good.

Thanks for sharing.
