So far the new year hasn't started off right. Company isn't doing good and work hasn't been smooth either. I guess I will have to take it easy this year and just walk the walk and don't talk much. I can see some big changes are coming shortly and there is nothing I can do about it.
Life still goes on and we all need to learn to adapt and move on.
Working in the I.T. field (for technical people) has its risks. Your work experience is like a high tech gadget; its life is short-lived. You are popular for one day and then become nobody-wanted the next day; it's that cruel. That's why the I.T. technical workers need to constantly updating themselves to ensure they know the latest and greatest. Our experience is only good for as long as the industry still uses the skill sets that we command. I don't care if you were an expert in Windows 2000 but if you haven't mastered Windows 2003 and beyond your days with the company (or any company) could be numbered. The biggest challenge is to constantly submerging ourselves in learning mode because technologies are coming in so fast that your lead time to study is constantly shrinking.
